Proudly based in Calgary, Alberta, our story began in 2017 as an elegant afternoon tea party catering company. From our vintage china, tea party sweets, and savoury treats to locally blended loose-leaf tea and even fascinators — we bring it all to you.

We aim to ease your role as host and make you look good. Whether it's catering on its own, tea party tableware rentals or an entire package, we work with our hosts to make their vision a reality.

We serve all sorts of special occasions and intimate celebrations, including baby showers, bridal showers, weddings, play openings, authors' events, retirements, friend gatherings and celebrations of life.

When the pandemic began, we even created a new concept — Takeaway Teas — so small groups could still enjoy an afternoon tea! We also collaborate with countless small businesses, so with each order, you're supporting local YYC companies.

A NOTE FROM THE CO-FOUNDER

In early 2023, my amazing friend and co-founder, Karen, sadly passed away. Although this has been a challenging transition, after much reflection, I've decided to move forward and honour both Karen's memory and our shared passion in developing The Travelling Teacups.

For long-time customers, you may see a few changes while I work to make operations a little more efficient, but The Travelling Teacups will continue to bring joy, deliciousness and elegance to every celebration.
